I bought some ladybugs at the nursery the other day because my daughters enjoy letting them go and because they eat pest insects off of my plants, around the same time the lavender started flowering. I mixed the two together with a macro lens and these are the results.
I like it. The face of the Red Panda brings the eyes to it. I think that I would appreciate it more if there were catch lights in the eyes. They just look black to me and it makes them look flat. I realize that it was an overcast day so sunlight wasn't there. If you were no shooting through glass, it might have been possible to use the camera's flash to create them. I love the bokeh. The contrast between the warm color of the fur and the cool colors of the background and snow along with the positioning of the panda give off a cozy feel. Overall it is an adorable animal that was photographed well. It makes me want to pick it up and put it in my jacket to make sure that it is warm.

I started a 365 project accidentally (kind of). It started with wanting to take a picture of one or both of my daughters daily. I am changing the subject every month. January was my daughters, February was Garden/plants, March was Water, April was Sky, May was Macro (bought a macro lens in March), June was Food, July is Animalia Kingdom, August will be 'scapes. Enjoy what you want and ignore the rest. If you have suggestions leave a comment.
I have a website with images for sale if you have some free time check it out. My Gallery
